As a professional home-based child care provider, I am committed to providing high quality care in an environment similar to the child's own home. I believe that home-based child care offers the opportunity to learn and grow with siblings and children of different ages in a supportive, family-like atmosphere. I offer a cozy home instead of an institutional setting. Throughout the day children can move freely throughout my home and I am always there to observe and guide the children as needed.    I am also more flexible than center-based care as we can travel to field trips easier, care for children who might be mildly ill on any given day, and adapt our program to fit the needs of the children in a more individualized way. I nurture, teach, and care for a child over the course of several years, often from infancy through early adolescence.

Our Experience

Sarah Lennert, Director, has been employed at Hand In Hand Learning Land in Glenview, Il. for the past nine years. She holds a bachelor's degree in Arts Administration from Benedictine University in Lisle, IL. During her time at Hand In Hand Learning Land she has attended numerous conferences and workshops in Early Childhood Development and Education. These include the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the Infant/Toddler Conferences, and the Project Approach Conferences at the Kohl Children's Museum.

While at Hand in Hand Learning Land, Sarah helped to secure Accreditation with National Association for Family Childcare (NAFCC). The program also received a three star rating in the Quality Counts Program, one of the highest ratings a program can earn.
